That's not saying much. LOL Actually it looks like you can turn the welder up some? Not sure what size welder you have but it looks like you could run it a little hotter. | |

| This is the welder: http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200381950_200381950Obviously, it's not a tombstone, but for as much welding as I need to do, it's a decent entry level machine. I'm using Lincoln 1/8" 7018ac rods, at about 110amps, I could crank them up a bit still, should be easier to strike then too. I'm going to grind down some of the real shitty looking welds, and turn up the power. | |

| Found out today that I dont have to buy a new car, soooooooooo if I can get this engine in I MIGHT (big might) be able to make the pines trip. I obviously dont want to rush it and am taking my sweet ass time. But here is where I am. Going to clean up under valve covers and oil pan and pick up.. Then everything will be bolted back up and plugged back in. | |

| The fan clutch Joel sent me didnt end up to be to my liking so I went back to the ultra noisey HD Chevy fan. The temps kept climbing so I put that fan clutch back in stuck a massive funnel in the radiator fill hole and just ran the piss out of the truck. I believe I finally got all the air out of the system and the fan clutch helped. Drove it to the hardware store to pick up hardware, tools and silicone sealant for the snorkel install tomorrow and ran between 177-188, I am happy with that. Although I keep getting two codes. I have read on dweb it is could be related to bent tab/tabs on reluctor ring that the crank shaft sensor reads. If they are that easy to bend I am sure I did. Going to drop the inspection plate and spin the crank and see what I see. Here's my list for the week Wednesday Install snorkel look for exhaust leak Thursday Install new CKPS cover heat shield thingy now that I figured out how to take them off correctly fix reluctor ring fix exhaust leak Friday Install Jag Engine Mounts - My current mounts are so shot the studs are like 1/2" difference on either side and the rubber is splitting... Maybe replace my broken mirror and clean/organize my truck All of this in preperation for the trails road run this weekend, should be a good time! | |

| Practicing gluing metal together more. Since someone stole my hitch shackle mount, I decided to try building one. I took 2 trailer drawbar's, cut off the ball mount, welded them together, then onto the draw tube. The 1" holes drilled in it for the ball shank will accept a 7/8 shackle. So far: Started with two of these: and ended with this: | |

| I had a bunch of them laying around. After lifting my truck, the one I was using was the wrong height. I also had one from when I had my frontier before my Disco. No, I didnt sell the boat yet. I have another bar with a 6" drop for moving the boat. | |
