You should put a pine cone on the roof.By the time you get your truck running you can use the tree that has grown on it at Rockafeller center.

Fucking wow. Just when I think you have topped out, you come back with another one.

I enjoyed watching you during the competition. Do your tires rub or were you digging into Brian's chili before the rest of us? Fucker.

Mine is Yellow. I used to roadrace regularly but have not in quite a few years.
I have it sold, just waiting for them to pick it up.

I am going to stay off the bikes for the time being.
But I really would like a new R1.

im getting some fucked up noise from my front end. i think the track rod is scraping the transmission. saturday morning i need to investigate. also need to figure out why one of my lights is out. im gonna run it on jumpers to the battery but i already rewired it so i think the bulb might be shot, maybe i touched it when i was installing it. also shopping for some parts, i need a purge valve and would like a spare MAF and CPS. also thinking about cutting an access panel to the top of the transfer case. saw someone do it and man did it make everything easier to work on. would only take me a minute to get the solenoid out of the neutral safety.

You might as well, it's not like its going to mess up your interior. Where would you cut? on the tunnel in the passenger footwell?

I'm thinking of ripping out the carpet that is left up front. putting the access panel in and putting down a thick rubber mat like the ones they use in kitchens and bars. yeah the panel would go right there on the tunnel of the pass side footwell. about 2 inches in front of the seat bracket. then you can reach the hi-lo, the solenoid, and the cdl in case something happens or needs to be worked on. i had the whole console out and there is no way to get that solenoid out from above, you would have to take the brake drum off and get it from underneath and it would not be an easy task.

Sounds like an installation problem, not a part failure.

Because properly torqued nuts don't just loosen on their own.

I understand that, what I don't understand is how an alignment shop could f that up... Should have put the wrench to them.

So after closer inspection I realized I actually hit my tie rod end that comes from the drop arm it had some rock rash. Pulled the broken cotter pin, tightened it up, tightened all the nuts and it's good to go again. Both of the cotter pins were broken..

So, as far as what i got done this weekend:
I got the new head lights in, got the bumper in, got the spring spacers and shock plates (thanks dave) up front in, got the spring reatiners in out back, got the OME shocks in all around, got the d2 door seals in for all except pass front, (im looking for that if you know someone), found a broken rear axle breather that i fixed, and i saw (possibly) foam in the rear axel which makes me think i have water mixing in there. Didnt get around to checking ANY of my fluids, didnt get the diff guards on, didnt get to put the flares on. (im gluing one as we speak) i may do just one a day over the next six days. All in all, really productive but everytime i get under it i just find something else it needs. Ah well. It never ends.
still, pretty productive
