Ed - give me first right,of refusal when you're ready. If I can swing it I'd be interested. I'm picking up new rims friday and ordering bigger tires when I get back april 9. If you go to pines we can put then on right then. Keep the stock size road tires at camp and then you can save your gas mileage on the commute. Ill take pics of them tomorrow. Still plenty of meat.

- Blew an MT on 95 driving home last night, couldn't find a match and was concerned about having a different fourth tire. Looking at the BFG A/T KO's all around. Would definitely be a quieter ride. And given I'm off road a half dozen times a year probably not a bad move. You guys think they're sufficient enough for the stuff we do? Will they hold up well enough?
The A/T KO's are nice on the road, but they're just OK offroad...especially here in the muddy eastern US. You'll spend a lot of time stuck or sliding down hills where MT's wouldn't have problems...especially if you run them at places like Rausch Creek. I switched from the KO's to the KM2's right before heading up to the Maine Winter Romp back in February. I watched guys with KO's having to get winched out of frozen stream beds, while the KM2's let my D2 claw it's way out on its own. Obviously, airing down becomes a lot more important with the KO's, but from experience I can say that even at 10 psi, you won't have nearly the traction of the KM2's. IMO having a set of both is ideal, but if you decide to pick an AT over an MT, just know that they have their limitations.

| Excellent input all the way around. Actually put the KO's on. Given that I drive this sucker up and down I95 every single day plus weekend errands they seem the most practical. After one day on them there is a noticeable deciible drop and a much smoother ride, and they'll be fine I'm sure in the snow (if we ever have snow again). I suspect the mileage will be better than the MTs I had. That being said, I see them being fine for a moderate trail ride but given that I have less fear than common sense I will need to have a second set of tires to switch over to for those weekends I'm out playing. I have some space now to store a spare set so it seems like the best of both worlds. Hopefully I can pick up Eds and can keep rock crawling with you guys. | |

Shoot, I ran stock with 19" street tires through Rausch along with my three amigos for a year, it's all a matter of just picking the right line and knowing Shuler is willing to haul your broken off parts out for you. Oh yeah, and carrying a bag of giant zip ties helps too.

| Well, not necessarily my work list, but my Rover is going to the dealership on friday to have an occasional slight popping noise looked at/fixed in front end. Also, if my truck can duplicate the quick shudder I get in my tranny when shifting from 2-3 while my warranty adjuster dude is in it, I may have a new tranny as well.
My dealership couldn't figure out the problem the first time in, so they called ZF and got a response saying it needs a new tranny due to bad sprag gear or something. I drive it all the time and it's fine but it does get the occasional shudder between shifts which is embarassing as well as annoying.

| I got my rover back yesterday. On Friday morning when I started it up I had a service engine light on.....fucking amazing, but good timing I suppose. Turns out that the plastic hose going to secondary air pump got cracks in it and threw the code, they fixed and just charged me for part at a discounted price. They also fixed an exhaust leak at the downpipe and now my Borla sounds as it should.
No new tranny yet, apparently it only acts up when I'm out by myself.
They washed and vacuumed it for me too.

Watching your rear bumper slowly leave its perch was good entertainment. Jensen loved it. I just got KM2's and love them. I crawled through all kinds of stuff I would have been stuck in with my worn out MTR's. I even got out of Area 51 (stickiest, nastiest mud ever) then pulled two other trucks out of the same mess (at once!). Hey - take those A/T's out. Just be sure someone in the group has proper recovery gear. They'll get a chance to use it. It's all part of the fun.

| I just replaced my torn engine mounts with QT's and my torn tranny mounts with stock mounts. I also put in the Range Rover driveshaft. I just need to replace the front block to oil cooler line and I am ready to go. I got the newer tail lights with the integrated turn signals so I am torn on leaving my original stock, bent bumper on it or putting on a good used one I have. I kind of like the bent look, it goes with the caved in fender and bowed quarter panel. She's not inspected but I'll get that done sooner or later... | |

| Today I welded a ballistic fab skull onto my front diff guard I also changed the oil the the diffs to complete my "break in" period. There was equal amount of metal shavings on both diff plugs and the fluid looked decent. I have to take the bushings off the upper links of my 3-link because safari gard used some bushings from like a Bronco or something that have a smaller inner diameter by a couple 16th's.. Good info to know and got some for free of a Dweb member. Also need to fix an O2 sensor and get the piece so I can connect my snorkel again | |

| I mounted another rear bumper for inspection and cleaned it all up for a spin. It won't start...no fuel pressure. wtf? It was running last night.
I was fooling with the tail light wires so maybe I disturbed something back there. ugh...

ohhhhhh no, I am not throwing in the towel now. I have far too much blood, sweat and tears into it! Besides, it is actually a pretty good truck. It never left me sit except for the time I pinched the ignition wire behind the power steering reservoir mount - my fault. It did overheat last year a couple times but the cooling system had air in it, again, my fault. Most anything that did go wrong was just shaking it out after I did the heads. I am pretty confident that I just pulled something loose on the harness to the fuel pump when I was messing with the tail light wires. The only reason I was messing with them is that I smashed the lights out of the bumper and was replacing them.

| Installed a TerraFirma/Southdown snorkel...so now I can get my truck in just deep enough to start doing REALLY big electrical damage... Tonight I install the Tom Woods Front Drive Shaft, change the oil, and pack up to leave for Lancaster tomorrow morning... | |

| If as many people show as in the fall there will be more than enough people to help score etc. I am excited to see how I do in my truck. I plan on running cdl unlocked the whole course unless there is something wild like the hill climb last time. My turning radius is probably the same as 32's on stock offset rover rims - it turns damn well actually. My only major issue is going to be over all width. with the cdl unlocked it runs practically rear wheel drive. I just did some cookies in my back yard as practice hahaha | |
