| Test fitting new shocks, towers, lower mounts and wedges, pre 3 link. This is where the radius arms bind. Still have a bit more travel on the shock and its on the second to highest mounting slot on tower. The wedges make it so the spring will dislocated pretty much straight up and down instead of at the perch angle. Meaning it would reseat even if it goes way lower than the cones. lower mounts seemed to work best mounted so the the hole was closer to the top of the wedge both compressed and extended - no rubbing at all. I am pretty happy with this and cant see what the 3 link brings. almost forgot to mention.. Changed my mind on trying to make thay D110 stuff work so I returned it and ordered Rovertracks - "longtracks" front axles and cv's. First impression is HOLY SHIT and WOW THEY ARE SHINEY! haha | |

Got cat's installed, went to my uncles and had him reset my cel, drove straight to emissions and freaking passed! Im legit for the next two yrs. On my list now, tires and recovery gear and i'll be set untill I get a bumper/winch and a snorkel. Still have to finish painting my rack which should be later today or tomorrow morning. Put lights back up, wire and I need to grab some clear sealant so I can keep water from the inside of the rack.

| serviced my swivels today and greased my propshafts. I had the dryest balls ever. they both took like 3/4 of a quart of gear oil plus some chassis grease. Yikes. Neither one of these things seemecd to stop the weird grinding noise coming from my front end. i didnt do a long enough test drive but saturday and sunday i'll know better. if not then my next guess is wheel bearings. anyone else? ideas? | |

I favor Precision products. Only thing I dont like about their 1300 series U joints is that they only have the grease fitting in the cross. The part number is 344 and make sure if you get them you orientate the fittings the right way. Or you could get neapcos.. Just dont get chinese U joints and you will be fine.

| Got a leaky lower oil cooler line that I have to replace. Ordering from Atlantic British Thrusday hopefully it doesn't take long to get here. My first leak that made it to the ground. Fix one thing and another problem springs up. | |

i have spicer u joints on the d2. they rock. i have a steering box (AB), terrafirma tie rod/track rod/damper, (lucky on the way for the Rangie. along with two new PS hoses. should have everything in and running by the end of the week. Right now i'm having the timing checked by my friend Waldir. He is the master of tuning. He said he is coming along for the pines run in April.

| I found a guy on LRR that was having exactly the same issue with setting up his GBR gears and hopefully he will be able to give me a little bit of advice. Also going to call Bill and see what he has to say. Hoping to get this done today cause it's holding up the rest of my plans..
1. Finish diff 2. Reinstall tie rods, front shaft and install new HD drive flanges 3. fix leaking rear caliper and bleed brakes 4. Measure and buy some sort of intake tubing to fix my routing issues 5. Make a relocating mounting plate for overflow tank to clear towers 6. Get rear shocks mounted - waiting on bushings fron Justin 7. Measure to get an idea of where 3 link is gonna put front axle 8. Install 50mm flexi flares - on order from uk through Justin 9. Install 3 link

| Should be ordering 5- 235/85/16 Treadwright Crawlers and a lower oil cooler line tomorrow. Trying to make sure Im ready for the pines but without getting some recovery gear I may not make it.
Got to see If my truck funds will cover all this stuff with install of the tires before I order some recovery gear from L8.

| finally got the new TF bumper on. Looks great and will take breaking of the frame to pull this one off. Once i broke free the trailer hitch bolts and got the old crap off the new one slid right in. Looks great. Put a couple of new end caps on there so I have something to sacrifice on the next trip. If i could figure out how to upload pics I'd post. Threw a yellow top in and finished wiring the four Hella 500 black magic lights on the rack. Also threw a couple of cheap Pep Boys driving lights on my fake brush guard (fogs in the stock quit working and I broke them trying to replace the bulb so i snipped the wires and ran them up top to the brush guard mounted lights).
New drivers seat arrived today from Marty - wrong color, so i have to return it and get another one from him (hopefully he has tan instead of dark brown). Taking a weeks vacation while the kids are out school to hang around the house. Hoping to get one day to do the TC swap and get the CDL in service. Also replaced oil this weekend with Rotella T6. two trips up and down 95 to Philly and so far so good.
Need to find a HD front bumper on the cheap and some sliders and I'm good to go.

| looks like I'm going to add windshield washer tubing to the list. Went to clean my windshield while waiting at the bus stop with my son this morning. Nothing came out on the windshield so I tried a couple more times to see if I could hear the pump when my son yells at me from the sidewalk : "Hey dad! your car is leaking underneath really bad!!". of course all of my washer fluid was getting pumped out of the line somewhere in the bay. | |
