| Changed my oil today. One good deed not going unpunished I found that I'm leaking stuff from the oil pan, the rear seal, transmission seals, and rear diff (and that friggin' fill nut is stripped!). Another day in the life of a Rover. Still need to swap the TC and install the CDL shifter. Need a heated shop (or at least protected from the elements) and a lift. Going to do the root-flex conversion while I have her up in the air since that will make it about a 30 minute job versus squeezing my fat ass under the truck and working upside down.
Got a new windshield going in this weekend and will throw new wipers on her once thats done.
Ed - did Randy's diff guards ever weld on straight for you? Give me ring when you get the chance, want to hear how you did.
Bolted up four Hella 500 black magic lights on the rack and replaced the 55w bulbs with 100w, its like looking into the afterlife standing in front of these things. Love it when some bastard cuts me off on I95 during my commute to/from Philly. Nothing says "wake the fuck up and pay attention!" like those things going off in your rear view mirror. Going to pass as an Ed impostor soon, this lights look like an alien space craft.
Anyone have any shop access/time I could rent?

A friend of mine has one in gloucester city. my truck has seen the inside of that place a few times. Its not free but its hellishly cheap and has every tool in the book. If you're interested send me a PM and we will figure it out.

yup. right over the bridge and right off 676 to rt 130, nicholson rd., gloucester. I can discuss it with him as we work on my rover this weekend. He works at Cherry Hill Dodge during the week and moonlights in the shop on some weeknights and weekends. He and his brother bought the huge 2 bay garage from the fire department a while back.

| Friday is looking busier and busier for me.. just ordered a stepper motor for the rangie so i can get rid of the CEL and get it inspected. also need an axle seal and possibly a blower motor sensor to get the heat and a/c working properly. also gonna pull the headliner and paint that... all dependent on the weather of course. going up to MA this weekend with Jackie so Friday is my one day to get everything sorted. | |

| Today I am going to change the oil on the VW, WISH ME LUCK! Aparently the 1.8t likes Rotella T6 so I picked some up for the truck too hoping the syn oil will continue the cleaning process.. This week/weekend I guess I should work on my truck.. Installing ford gen 3 fuel injectors, see if I can find an intake leak thats causing 1313 and 1314 replace fuel filter replace cracked manifold and gaskets - need to pic up bolts for that installing dynabeads - sick of paying shops to balanace my wheels after evey trip install stainless steel terrafirma snorkel topper replace window regulator so I can take off the duct tape I think that's it | |

You might as well start buying rotella by the 5gallon bucket at TSC, and save some money.

Yea I have been buying the 2 gallon jugs of Rotella T - I went to Walmart and it's $13 a gallon which I believe is even cheaper than TSC's 5 gallon... OF COURSE they didnt have any T6 so I went to advanced auto this time and got screwed.. Had to pick up an oil filter anyways.. The oil change on the VW went well, fixed the head light bulb as well. AND I JUST ORDERED 4.11's!!!! big ass tires here we come!

| you dont have three link yet right? Im in the market for something. I do thnk i want to go a little taller than i am right now but you know my radius arms are raked. I need a lot of money up front if i do anything. I could just stiffen the axels etc and do a 2" body lift to cram the tires. That may be way cheaper and could make it happen a lot faster | |

No 3 link yet... I'm trying to stuff that front tire as much as possible. The rear set up is almost spot on if you look at the pics from the last RC trip you will see what I mean.. I need something that is going to center my front axle with the lift I have now. I am going to keep these tires for a while but I think my next set will be 35's Then I'll run flexy flares and If I still cant clear them I'll throw on the Lucky 8 body lift.. I have the Terrafirma arms that Brian used to have on his truck. Here's a pic of what I mean, front tire is sitting a little to close to slider for comfort..

| yeah, you gotta stretch that out....or hack it apart. I dont have any problem carving up my wheel wells for clearance, what sucks for me, is that every dollar that goes into the rig, i've gotta put a dollar into purses or shoes for the wife to keep it equitable. So everything costs 2x as much.......Sigh | |

| Def only live once, but we're married, so it's not my money and her money, it's OUR money haha. SO half of it is expectation and the other half would be my wracking catholic guilt, so i half feel obliged. Whatever. She deserves nice stuff too. But i deserve sliders and a snorkel hahaha | |
